2 Bhk near BKC? your best option would be Sion/ wadala. beware of broker, negotiate with them first or they will rip u off later! mid-day classifieds are a good starting point!

Your *best* bet is Kalina; specifically, the Golden Square, Silver Square complexes. They're really nice apartments and they're *exactly* 8 minutes from BKC.
Might know of a place there but need to know your budget and whether or not it'll be a company lease.

jokes apart would try and get you some estate agents number in Santacruz, Bandra, Sion (places near BKC)
As Divya said, the best place is Kalina in Santacruz-E. You can take an auto to work everyday, for less than 20 bucks. It is equidistant from the WE Highway, Santacruz station, Kurla Station and domestic airport. Plus the BKC-Kalina route is traffic free. And since you'll travel by auto rickshaw, NO LOCAL TRAIN!!!
This is the reason i live in Kalina too, since I work in BKC.

sorry.. its not my field of expertise. Generally... rather than compromising at the initial stage, i'd recommend u stayin at a comfortable place.
