Sidin, really sorry to see what is happening to Mumbai. I hope God gives all Mumbaikars strength and good sense in these difficult times.

Really heartening to see the spontaneity with which people are helping each other!

Hey, Mumbai doesnt deserve this.. Its really sad. More than anything else, I m angry.. So many Innocent mumbaikars have lost their lives..

Sidin, I really hope, u and ur set of writers at Hafta, who always speak about the Mumbaikar Spirit, are doing ur best to help the laymen. Do wat the Mumbaikar knows best - to help each other in times of crisis, and that will embody your love for ur city.

Our support for the Mumbaikar is always there.

I am so sorry for the blasts. May god give everyone strength to survive this trauma.

I hope your moral, ethical and natural gas related dilemma related to the soldiers and zealots is resolved with this cowardly attack. In our attempt to be politically correct,we bend over backwards and then when we are hit, we perhaps learn, or perhaps we dont...

Sidin, its good to know that u are safe. Though I do not belong to Mumbai, I share a strong bond with the city as I have visited it very often. Folks very close to me stay at Andheri and I always travel in the Western Rail Line, and I was shattered on reading the news. I share the grief with the millions of Mumbaikars, and I hope against hope that the government will be able to gain some meaningful breakthrough at the earliest.

just being sorry is not good enough guys. nor is it good enough to salute the spirit of mumbai. what are we going to do about it?

What can you do about this?
Be more alert, start voting, make Kashmir an issue at the public level - (btw is it an issue?)

I, for one, like the way India looks in a map and taking Kashmir out will change that. But then, living a life in which I know that loved ones in any city can be killed for that piece of land, I am willing to consider Kashmir as another country. Or with more autonomy. Serious autonomy.
Or even with Pakistan, who knows.
What is the big deal? I would love to be educated about this.
Feel free.
Gradually, I think we need to realise that a peaceful kashmir and a stable Pakistan is almost a precondition for a truly peaceful, safe and prosperous India.

When will our Government come out of the petty immoral politics, and start acting strong against the terrorism and crime. Democracy is indeed the rule of the people. In India it has come to mean the rule of the wicked, provided the wicked has enough votes to poll for the parties.
