Thank You...

Dear all,

The decision to pursue writing for a living is not an easy one. In fact such a career move, in our society atleast, is one fraught with familial opposition but public appreciation. And sometimes that balance is not always pleasant.

But the response from the blog-reading public has been overwhelming. Even after I went public with it there have been moments of weakness and each time there has been a word of comfort and encouragement from people I have never spoken or met before. Not to mention the numerous leads and contacts. I am indebted.

Many people have written to me saying they want to go out and do their own thing as well. Which is awesome but that also means you have to do some homework before you set out. Take the risk but take the educated risk. While doing your own thing is all about heart, a little bit of head is not out of place.

So there. I wont sermonise and if you want sermons drop me a mail. I will oblige :)

And as you can see below its back to usual business on Domain Maximus.

Hang around. This place is going to get fun!

Well,
All I can promise is that I will try to buy an original, not pirated version of your book. And that will depend on the books pricing...so be reasonable!

Hats off Buddy!!

One - For having the guts to follow your dreams leaving an otherwise so-called "secure, fixed sal" kinda job.

Two - for something that I repent not having done myself - follow my dreams.

Admirer of your blogs I always was. Count me as an admirer of you as a person as well.

Regards,
Radha.

Good Luck! It takes a lot of pluck to do what you are doing. Have fun and hope you get a weekly column in a newspaper along the lines of Jug Suraiya or something like that.

Sweet to see your family's comments here. I have marked your blog among my Favourites. Will come by more often...
Now I need to create a Blogger account so that I can have some identity here! Thankfully, some blogs still allow anonymous comments..:-)

way to go, dude. during times when all i can think of is quitting a job that pays well and start doing something that gives me some sense of purpose or achievement, i see guys like you who actually do it... hats off to u...

Dude, I've been a regular reader of your blog for about three months now, and you've managed to walk away into the sunset with such finesse that there would be a whole lotta people wanting to treat you as a role model.

In addition to the amazing entertainment that your blog provides, you're now making all these pseud self help books redundant by being a living breathing example of following your dreams.

Congratulations, best wishes, and may all the forces be with you.

I really appreciate your courage in dropping a 'regular' career for something you love doing and obvioulsy excel at. I have been one of those guys who have been lurking around for months, reading and enjoying your blogs but never posting any comment. But even i couldn't hold on after reading about your decision. Hoping to read some really interesting books authored by Sidin Vadukut in future.

All the best!

I read thru the Hindi post ... and I was a little saddened by the treatement meted out to Hindi ... especially the last word ... then i realized ... Hindi is too vast and rich for it to be belittled ... spoken by so many people ... you have to LEARN HINDI TO COMMUNICATE ... then i laughed at your misery!!!!!!
